F10®CL is a veterinary disinfectant which achieves a broad spectrum kill of
potentially harmful micro-organisms. It is active against bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores, and environmentally effective against the protozoal oocysts of cryptosporidium, coccidia and giardia. It is an excellent product for achieving a high level of biosecurity effectively and safely as it poses no hazard to yourself and is completely safe to use in presence of animals when used at recommended concentrations

At working dilutions it is non-corrosive, non-toxic, non-tainting and non-irritating, and is also chlorine- and aldehyde-free.

Available in 5 litre bottles

Note: The F10®SC and F10®CL products are chemically the same but CL are 5 times more dilute the SC (Super Concentrate). So 5 litres of CL is equivalent to 1 litre of SC in terms of the amount of disinfection cleansing that it can do.

WHAT IS F10®CL USED FOR?

  • Effective and safe general disinfection of all hard surfaces (such as tables, floors and cages)
  • For animal housekeeping procedures (such as the cleaning of food and water bowls and bedding)
  • Solutions of F10®CL can be sprayed on and left to disinfect after cleaning to provide additional biosecurity
  • Fogging of entire rooms and hard to reach surfaces
  • Fogging of air spaces to eliminate air-borne micro-organisms

Note - F10®CL should be used on surfaces which are already 'clean', but need disinfecting - i.e. remove any visible dirt from the surface before use. For a ‘one-step’ product for light duty cleaning, where a detergent is needed, use F10®CLXD

THE RECOMMENDED DILUTION RATES OF F10®CL

  • General disinfection at 1:100 (10ml in 1 litre)
  • High level disinfection against bacteria, fungi and most viruses (including coronavirus) at 1:50 (20ml to 1 litre)
  • For use against the most resistant viruses such as Parvovirus or PBFD at 1:25 (40ml in 1 litre)
  • For environmental control of protozoal oocysts (e.g. of cryptosporidium, coccidia and giardia) use at 1:20 (50ml in 1 litre)

These dilution rates mean that F10® is one of the most cost-effective disinfectant ranges on the market.

HOW TO USE F10®CL

  • Remove any dirt from the surfaces so they are visibly clean (pre-clean to optimise the disinfection process)
  • Add the required amount of F10®CL to 1 litre of water - i.e. to create a dilution rate of 1:50 add 20ml*
  • Note - F10®CL can be bought with a 20ml dosing pump for accurate measurement.
  • Spray or wash the surfaces/object using the solution
  • Leave to air dry - no need to rinse or wipe off the F10® solution

* 1:50 is recommended for efficiency against most pathogens. If more resistant viruses are known to be present, use at 1:25 (40ml/litre)  For environmental control of protozoal oocysts use at 1:20 (50ml/litre). For general disinfection use at 1:100 (10ml/litre).

WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE? CL, SC OR READY TO USE?

Whichever you are more comfortable using, as the end result will be the same. Some feel the CL is better for them as you need to be less precise with the measuring (for high level disinfection you would use 20ml in 1 litre of water, whereas you would only use 4ml of SC in 1 litre of water). Whereas others prefer the smaller bottle of the SC. Ready to Use has the convenience of being pre-diluted, so can be used immediately and is at a recommended dilution for some activities - however buying a concentrate, and diluting it yourself, is more cost effective, and in some instances a different dilution rate than the one used in the Ready to Use may be required.
